Sarigerme – Ephesus and House of the Virgin Mary

Ephesus is one of the largest archaeological sites with 30 remarkably sturdy and slightly damaged ancient buildings of the first civilizations: a great hall with a courtyard for 25,000 people, terraced houses, the Library of Celsus and one of the Seven Wonders of the old world: Temple of Artemis. After a lunch break in an authentic Turkish restaurant, we will visit the Mosque of Isa Bey, which is one of the important landmarks of Seljuk times, and the Basilica of St. John. We will visit one of the most important sites on our tour, the House of the Virgin Mary, where she spent her last days.
